Structural Modification Medicine of the Class I Anti-cancer New Drugs

Based on the project of class I new anticancer drugs, studies on the structural modification and anti-tumor activity of derivatives containing chlorogenic acid as the skeleton were carried out to select more than 10 anti-tumor drug candidates for chlorogenic acid derivatives. Studies of some drug candidates broke through the technical bottleneck of chlorogenic acid's instability and low oral bioavailability, solved technical difficulties of oxidative degradation of chlorogenic acid in preparation, storage and manufacturing process, first achieve the purpose of  oral preparations with the same effect of injection administration, which open up a new route of administration, and had good clinical application value and prospect.

Further studies have confirmed that structurally modified chlorogenic acid derivatives not only have more stable chemical properties and higher bioavailability, but also have clear target in terms of antitumor mechanism of action, which is helpful for clinical precision treatment.


Improvement of Dosage Form

The poor stability and low bioavailability of chlorogenic acid is the key technical barriers to the development and application of oral preparations. In addition to breaking though the core and key technologies of derived anti-tumor drug candidates from the structural modification of chlorogenic acid, we technically assault oral preparation of chlorogenic acid, and forms a series of oral solid preparation product development pipelines, such as tablets, granules and capsules, with solid dispersion technology as the core.


The pharmacodynamics trials in animals have preliminarily demonstrated that the oral preparation has equivalent malignant solid tumor inhibition effects with chlorogenic acid injections, and more comprehensive and systematic preclinical studies are currently ongoing.
